This fabulous event is perhaps the premier annual sporting event in Baltimore. In 2010, the Baltimore Running Festival Marathon will be celebrating its 10th edition, and promises enthusiast a scenic and a challenging course as ever, along with a 5k run, a marathon team relay and a fun run for 12-year old kids, offered in order to give athletes of all abilities the chance to participate in the event.
The Baltimore Running Festival is considered to be one of D.C. and Baltimore area's most popular road races, drawing more than 15 000 enthusiastic runners, annually, taking them on a scenic course through the city streets, from the waterfront along Baltimore's Inner Harbor area through downtown neighborhoods toward Patterson Park, showing runners some of the city's most beautiful areas, giving them the opportunity to sightsee, as well, along the way.
Charity teams are also accepted, which run in order to benefit various causes and non profit organizations, such as The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Alzheimer's Association ALZ Stars or The American Cancer Society's DetermiNation program.
